PSAT testing is administered in the fall semester for students in grades 9-11. The test measures what the student has learned in high school and their college preparedness. Additionally, it helps students prepare for the SAT they will take during their junior and/or senior year. The SAT is typically one of the application requirements for many colleges.
There are two types of PSAT tests that we administer for the high school students; the PSAT 8/9 for freshman and the PSAT/NMSQT for sophomores and juniors. Both tests cover the following subjects: evidence-based reading, writing & language, and math. Juniors who take the PSAT/NMSQT may be eligible to receive recognition and merit scholarships based on their performance on the test.
