5th Grade (5B)

Aloha!

My name is Gina, and I teach 5th grade. I feel so blessed to join the St. Anthony School ‘ohana! I moved to Hawaii in 2019 from Las Vegas, and I have been in the education field for approximately 23 years, working with infants to upper elementary, and have loved every minute! I hold a master’s degree in early childhood education, and a bachelor’s in elementary education. I attended a private Christian college named Grand Canyon University for all those years and made Summa Cum Laude. I love learning! I believe it takes the whole community to educate children, from the parents and siblings to grocery store clerks and finally, the government and world. Teaching students 21st century skills such as critical thinking, using evidence-based research, and developing innovative skills needed to stay competitive in a global market. I am very interested in cultures and diversity, languages, and love traveling. I also enjoy reading, cats, math, trivia, and anything in the ocean.

I hope to help my students succeed in every way possible; academically, socially, and spiritually. Together, we can make the world a better place, piece by piece.

Aloha!

Ms. Jones

"I’m thankful for the sense of community and cultural blending that was part of St. Anthony. Only after going to the mainland, did I appreciate how fortunate I was to have grown up in this setting."
