St. Anthony School Staff Member Bio

Audrey Wardach

Middle School English

Audrey is a University of Notre Dame double graduate; she majored in English during undergrad and received her Master’s of Education degree in 2018 through the ACE program. During her two years in Notre Dame’s ACE graduate program, she taught 6th-8th grade English/Language Arts at a Catholic school in Louisiana.

This past spring, Audrey was a substitute teacher at St. Anthony, and she is overjoyed to be joining SAS this fall as one of the middle school ELA teachers. Teaching young readers and writers is Audrey’s passion and vocation, and she can’t wait to get to know her students even better this coming school year.

Audrey lives in Paia with her husband. She enjoys hiking, camping, kayaking, writing, swimming, snorkeling, and bringing a book along to all those activities (the ones that don’t put the books in danger of water damage, of course!). She loves traveling with books (she’s read at thirteen National Parks just this past year), and she is thrilled to introduce SAS students to books that will transport them around the world with a flip of a page.

"I’m thankful for the sense of community and cultural blending that was part of St. Anthony. Only after going to the mainland, did I appreciate how fortunate I was to have grown up in this setting."
