St. Anthony is proud to sponsor a Key Club chapter. What is Key Club, and what do they do? According to the Key Club International website at http://slp.kiwanis.org/KeyClub/home.aspx, Key Club is the oldest and largest service program for high school students. What makes Key Club so successful is the fact that it is a student-led organization that teaches leadership through serving others. Members of the Kiwanis International family, Key Club members build themselves as they build their schools and communities.

Today, Key Club exists on more than 5,000 high school campuses, primarily in the United States and Canada. Growth efforts, however, have taken the Key Club experience internationally to Canada, the Caribbean nations, Central and South America, and most recently to Asia and Australia.
Each Key Club is sponsored by and partnered with a local Kiwanis Club. Our sponsor is the Kiwanis Club of the Valley Isle. Key Clubs typically work with Kiwanis Clubs to support the lives and needs of local families and youth in many different ways. For example, over the past year, our Key Club has helped Kiwanis provide local needy youth with backpacks and school supplies, walked to raise funds and public awareness on behalf of people afflicted with Alzheimer’s disease, helped put on a Christmas dance for clients residing at nearby Hale Makua Senior Center, assisted the host Valley Isle Kiwanis Club to serve food to hundreds of local visitors to the annual Keiki Fest that benefits local island youth, and more. Key Clubs also come together at annual county, state, regional, and national conventions, having a great time in the process.
