Drama
Our drama program, new in the 2004-2005 school year, is designed as an introduction to theater fundamentals and stage performance. The class learns the history of the theater, explores various dramatic genres, and the methods of well-known acting teachers. Through a variety of exercises, students participate in pantomime, improvisation, and character interpretation. The class also studies stage direction and vocabulary, stage movement, blocking, set design, and playwriting. The second half of the course will be spent preparing for the production of either a collection of scenes or a one-act play to be performed for the school and parents.
